ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) President Barack Obama wants Americans to take advantage of "National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day." "Overdoses from prescription pain medications kill thousands of Americans every year, and more often than not, those drugs come from the family medicine cabinet," Obama said in his weekly address. On September 26th, there will be collection sites throughout the community where people can dispose of their expired or unwanted prescription drugs, no questions asked. The President emphasized the importance of continuing to work to reduce substance abuse and the role parents can play to prevent children from abusing drugs. "Parents, we have to understand how important it is to talk to our kids, and to safely store medications in the house," Obama said.
