Bond actor Daniel Craig is joined by his ''Spectre'' director Sam Mendes, and members of the leading cast, at the royal world premiere of his latest 007 outing. Rollo Ross reports.
Bond is back one more time with 'Spectre'. The 24th film in the franchise, which held its world premiere in London, brings back a lot of familiar faces and a few new ones, but the core team is still there with Daniel Craig as 007 and Sam Mendes as his director. SOUNDBITE director Sam Mendes, saying (English):- "I wanted to make something that moved Bond's story on a bit. I wanted to introduce some great new characters. Maybe a little bit more flamboyance in this movie - a bit more mischief. A bit more wit, possibly. A bit more old style glamour, you know? And I hope we managed to put all that stuff in there." Mendes and Craig have been a dream team for the secret agent. The last film "Skyfall" brought in more than $1 billion dollars worldwide at the box office. SOUNDBITE producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson saying (English) Broccoli: "Daniel Craig is James Bond and as far as I'm concerned he's here to stay." Wilson: "He's our man. We love him. And I hope he and Sam will both be back." But how does Craig know about the future of the shaken but not stirred Martini drinker? SOUNDBITE James Bond actor, Daniel Craig, saying (English): "I know enough. I'm making this easy for you, aren't I?" But if there was to be a new Bond, who would he want it to be? SOUNDBITE James Bond actor, Daniel Craig, saying (English): "For a Bond? Oh I don't know, I mean you know I just think as an actor you've got to be, you've got to just interpret it the way you see it so whoever does it after me, you know, they've just got to be good I hope, and that, you know, make the films as good as you can." 'Spectre', which received a royal seal of approval at the premiere, goes on release in the UK on October 26.
