ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION).
STORY: Thousands of Ithaca College students walked out of classes Wednesday calling for the resignation of the college president ,Thomas Rochon.
Ithica College protests come after the University of Missouri President stepped down earlier this week.
In both instances -- students say they are unhappy with what they say is a low response to racist incidents on campus.
In Ithaca, a group called "People of Color" created a facebook event for the walkout. More than 900 students responded.
Student Dom Recckio said, "These students have something real to say, myself included, and I think he needs to leave this college as soon as possible."
A post on the group's page says - quote "with University of Missouri's president stepping down, we demand Rochon do the same as it is vital to fight against racism in all places of education."
