Migrants from Asia and Africa.... left in a no-man's-land following a decision to only grant passage to refugees fleeing conflicts in the Middle East and Afghanistan. Thousands have been turned back, thousands more are stranded in freezing temperatures .... propting hundreds to protest. SOUNDBITE) (English) PAKISTANI MIGRANT, SYED, SAYING: ''In Pakistan government general headquarters, military headquarters, was attack by Taliban. Pakistan airbase was attacked by Taliban. Pakistan schools were attacked by Taliban. Mosques are not safe. Even we can not go outside so we need freedom. We need safety." The U.N. says profiling refugees and migrants on the basis of nationality is creating an untenable situation. More than 4,000 refugees and migrants streamed into Europe each day this month -- with no resolution yet -- or an end in sight.
