The force is with the latest 'Star Wars' installment at the box office, crossing the $1 billion mark in ticket sales faster than any other movie in history. Gavino Garay reports.
The pomp and circumstance of Star Wars didn't go unnoticed at the box office. "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" crossed the $1 billion dollar mark globally with record speed on Sunday, becoming the fastest film to make $1 billion in history. And despite mixed reviews -- Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg came together in the comedy, "Daddy's Home," placing the movie at the box office second with $38.8 million in ticket sales -- well above the estimated $20 million opening. And third in the mix -- a film that looks at the life of the creator of the Miracle Mop, called "Joy." The biopic brought in $17.5 million in North American ticket sales.
