U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump jokes that he wouldn't lose support for his campaign even if he shot people ''in the middle of Fifth Avenue.'' Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Donald Trump boasted that his followers are so loyal he wouldn't lose support even if he shot people. "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK? It's incredible," said Trump. The Republican presidential front-runner made the brash comments during a campaign event at Dordt College in Sioux City, Iowa. Trump is currently in position to seize control of the race. Polls show he could win not only Iowa's caucuses, but also New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary on Feb. 9, which could potentially put him on a strong path to securing the presidential nomination of the Republican party.
