Donald Trump's sons, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., say their father is a ''big gun guy'' as they attend a shooting range near Des Moines, Iowa. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) As U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump hit the campaign trail in Iowa on Saturday night (January 30) , his sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., visited a shooting range just outside Des Moines. "We're big fans of the shooting sports, and quite frankly, it kept us out of a lot of trouble. Our grandfather got us into shooting sports as young kids. It's just something we really care about," Eric told reporters, adding that his father is "a big gun guy." Trump, a billionaire New York developer, is currently locked in a tight race in Iowa just two days before the state's crucial U.S. presidential nominating contest. The influential Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics Iowa poll released on Saturday showed a tight race, with Trump receiving 28 percent of the support of likely Iowa caucus-goers and Cruz 23 percent. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida was overwhelmingly the third choice, at 15 percent. In the Democratic competition, Hillary Clinton held a slight edge over Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, 45 percent to 42 percent. The margin of error for the poll was plus/minus 4 percent.
