ROUGH CUT (no reporter narration) STORY: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump continued to launch attacks on rival Sen. Ted Cruz saying, "here's a guy he raises the Bible, and yet he tells fibs, he tells lies," at a campaign event in Walterboro, South Carolina. "What this guy Cruz did with Ben Carson was an absolute disgrace," Trump said. Cruz had apologized to Carson because of an email from his campaign before the Iowa caucuses, which are the crucial first vote in the U.S. presidential nominating process. "The press is reporting that Dr. Ben Carson is taking time off from the campaign trail after Iowa and making a big announcement next week," the Cruz email read, according to CNN. "Please inform any Carson caucus-goers of this news and urge them to caucus for Ted Cruz." "What he did .. was theft.. what he did with that whole thing was a disgrace," Trump said. "We will not let it happen, we are all watching," Trump said. "Politicians are bad people, boy they are bad," he said. Trump is leading the Republican field in South Carolina. But, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, Trump has fallen behind Cruz in the national race with Cruz coming in at 28 percent and Trump at 26 percent.
