Belgian police have captured a suspect after shooting him in the leg during a major police operation following Tuesday's suicide bombings in Brussels. Nathan Frandino has more.
Belgian police arrested three people in the Brussels neighborhood of Schaerbeek on Friday. It was part of an operation to find more militants suspected of having ties to Tuesday's attacks that killed at least 31 people in the Belgian capital. Police and troops cordoned off this part of the neighborhood early Friday. As the operation unfolded, police shot and wounded this man after he reportedly failed to respond to orders. As he lied down, security officials dispatched a bomb squad robot to check for explosives. He was among 12 people arrested in related raids since Thursday in Belgium, Germany and France. Authorities are swooping in on suspected militant cells across Europe, trying to prevent the next assault before it's too late.
