Pope Francis celebrates Easter Sunday mass in front of huge crowds in St. Peter's Square. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT - NATURAL (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Large crowds gathered in a sunny St. Peter's Square on Sunday (March 27) morning for the traditional Easter Sunday mass, led by Pope Francis. Arriving for the mass, Francis crossed colorful flower arrangements laid around the square and prayed in front of an icon of Jesus Christ. With the solemn mass and the following "Urbi et Orbi" blessing, the pope closes a hectic Easter week which has seen him wash the feet of refugees at a mass outside Rome, conduct the Via Crucis or "Way of the Cross" procession around the Colosseum and preside at a late evening vigil at the Vatican. At the end of the mass Francis will deliver the twice-yearly "Urbi et Orbi" (to the city and the world) blessing and message from the central balcony of St. Peter's Basilica.
