Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump mocks rival Ted Cruz for not helping Carly Fiorina, after she fell at a recent campaign event. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump mocked his GOP rival Ted Cruz on Monday (May 2) for not helping his running mate, Carly Fiorina, after she fell off stage where she was introducing Cruz during a campaign event in Indiana. "She fell off the stage the other day and Cruz didn't do anything. It was the weirdest thing," Trump said while campaigning in Carmel, Indiana. Fiorina appeared unhurt on Sunday after falling off the stage where she was introducing Cruz and his family to supporters in Lafayette, Indiana. Shortly after presenting "the next first family", Fiorina disappeared from camera view, only to appear again moments later. Amid the excitement onstage, only Ted Cruz's wife, Heidi, appeared to notice Fiorina's plight. She helped her up, and Fiorina resumed her campaign duties. Trump, Cruz and Governor John Kasich face off on Tuesday in Indiana. Trump will take a leap toward winning the Republican nomination if he comes out ahead in Tuesday's Indiana primary. His success in the race for the White House may well ride on the support of Republican evangelicals.
