NATURAL ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Marching bands stepped off down the National Mall as the National Memorial Day Parade got underway on Monday (May 30). Actors Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna rode down the route in cars as children in the crowd waved American flags. The parade was part of a series of observances of the holiday in the area, which included President Barack Obama laying a wreath in Arlington National Cemetery, a concert at the U.S. Capitol, and the Rolling Thunder motorcycle ride.
