Hype, excitement, and nail-biting moments as fans eagerly await the Portugal-France Euro 2016 final when the two teams will face off at the Stade de France. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Eager fans decked out in red, white and blue waited outside the Paris fan zone on Sunday hoping to land the best spot to watch the Euro 2016 final. Supporters of Les Bleus -- and a handful of Portugal fans -- wore their loyalties on their sleeves, and many on their faces which were caked in the colors of the tricolor. Fan Mael Jouen went one step further, donning a full blue body suit. "You only get to experience an event like this once in your life, France in the final at home, you've got to be there and we're ready to wait hours," he said. Die-hard Portugal fans flocked from all over to catch a glimpse of the game and hoped to beat France on their home turf. "I feel quite nervous, but I feel confident that Portugal are going to win tonight, I think we have a unique opportunity to beat the French on their home soil," said Portugal supporter Carlos Gomes. Kick off is at 9pm local time. France has won the two other tournaments it hosted on home soil - Euro 1984 and the 1998 World Cup. The last time France took home the European championship trophy was in 2000, when the current France coach, Didier Deschamps captained the side to victory.
