Concrete traffic dividers and tall metal fences have been erected around the convention site. Billionaire businessman Donald Trump is due to be formally nominated to head the Republican ticket in the November 8 U.S. presidential election. Thousands of people, including anti-Trump protesters, are expected to descend upon the city for the event.
