ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: The star of the hit reality TV show Duck Dynasty told delegates at the Republican National Convention on Monday (July 18) that presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump will "have your back," no matter who you are. Wearing an American flag bandana, the heavily bearded Willie Robertson began his remarks by leading the audience in prayer, directing his comments at Louisiana in the wake of the shooting death of three police officers in Baton Rouge. "No matter who you are, Donald Trump will have your back," said Robertson, who reminded the audience that he and Trump share a background in reality TV. "If you're a serviceman overseas or a cop who is risking their lives to keep us safe at home, Donald Trump will have your back," Robertson. A spate of recent killings by white police officers of African-Americans and two ambushes that have killed a total of eight officers have raised racial tensions in recent weeks and placed an increased focus at the convention on law and order issues.
