ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Patricia Smith, the mother of Sean Smith who was a U.S. Foreign Service officer killed in an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012, gave an emotional testimony on the death of her son on the first night of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Smith blamed former secretary of state and presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for the death of her son. "I blame Hillary Clinton," said Smith. "She deserves to be in stripes." For the past week, Trump's team has worked to beat back opposition to the party's presumptive nominee for the Nov. 8 election. Some establishment Republicans are alarmed by his provocative comments on immigrants and Muslims, and his break with party orthodoxy on issues such as trade.
