ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump proposed tax breaks for working families and for corporations while outlining his economic plans on Monday (August 8) during a speech in Detroit.
Trump was interrupted several times by shouting protesters. The Republican held back from saying "Get him out!" like he has been known to do at his rallies.
Trump's Detroit Economic Club speech is his first on the economy since announcing a 13-man team of economic advisers last week. It also comes after what was widely seen as his worst week as a presidential candidate for the Nov. 8 election.
The Detroit Economic Club is a traditional venue for political candidates to discuss their economic vision and whose members are area business leaders.
