British actor Ewan McGregor talks about his feature film directorial debut 'American Pastoral' at the Zurich Film Festival. Rough Cut - no reporter narration.
NATURAL ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Scottish actor Ewan McGregor presented his full feature film directorial debut, 'American Pastoral', on Monday (September 26) at the Zurich Film Festival. McGregor, 45, explained that it was his wife who was behind his decision to take the director's chair. 'American Pastoral' sees McGregor in the leading role as a hard-working American man in the late Sixties whose family begins to fall apart after his daughter becomes politically radicalized. Jennifer Connelly, who plays McGregor's wife in the film, said her co-star had a balanced approach when it came to directing. Meanwhile McGregor denied rumours that he could be the next James Bond. 'American Pastoral' opens in U.S. cinemas on October 28.
