ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: U.S. Vice President-elect Mike Pence traveled to Washington on Wednesday (November 16), where he and his wife, Karen, were hosted for lunch by Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, at their official residence, the U.S. Naval Observatory. Speaking to reporters afterward, Biden said, "It went very, very well. I hope they enjoy this home as much as Jill and I have." He also said that "no administration is ready on day one" but that "everything will be in good hands." Pence, who is currently head of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team, expressed his gratitude to the Bidens for hosting them. "Most importantly I think they've made real progress in talking Mrs. Pence into another dog," he joked.
