Police clear the aea around the president-elect's business headquarters in mid-town Manhattan. Tara Joseph reports.
Police out in force at one of America's best known addresses on Tuesday. Trump Tower in New York City evacuated after the discovery of what authorities called a suspicious package, a bag left near the Nike store in the building's shopping mall in midtown Manhattan. Police cordoned off several city blocks in the crowded area, but after after inspection by a bomb squad, it turned out that the bag merely contained children's toys. Ever since Donald Trump was elected president, visitors to his business headquarters have had to go through intensive security screening, with bag checks both inside and outside the building. The marbled foyers of Trump Tower have become a famous staging area for the press and potential members of the new administration, coming in and out of high profile meetings. Trump himself is spending the holidays at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, far away from the sirens and New York security.
