UK Prime Minister Theresa May says the United States and the United Kingdom must take advantage of the opportunity to ''lead together again.'' Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May told congressional Republicans on Thursday (January 26) that the United States and the United Kingdom must take advantage of the opportunity to "lead together again," referencing each country's new governments following the election of current U.S. President Donald Trump and the Brexit vote last year. "As you renew your nation, just as we renew ours, we have the opportunity, indeed the responsibility, to renew the special relationship for this new age. We have the opportunity to lead together again," May said during the 2017 "Congress of Tomorrow" Joint Republican Issues Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. May is scheduled to meet with Trump on Friday.
