A video showing a reporter being grabbed by security men and hustled away after asking a question of National Front leader and presidential candidate Marine Le Pen, is circulating on the Internet amid confusion over the circumstances of the incident. Rob Muir reports.
It began with a scuffle between Le Quotidien reporter Paul Larrouturou and a security guard at a presidential campaign stop by far right candidate Marine le Pen....but it quickly escalated. Larrouturou and his team had been trying to ask Le Pen questions about allegations she'd misspent European Parliament funds on her staff five years ago. But the guards were determined to keep the reporter away. There is still some disagreement over who exactly the security guards were working for. Le Pen's National Front party denies any responsibility. So does the convention center. Larrouturou claims the guards were hired by the event organizers. He says they expelled him on orders from a National Front official. Either way his question about allegedly misspent funds was never answered.
