American fashion house Badgley Mischka, known for their red-carpet-worthy evening gowns, goes full out glam for Fall 2017. Rough Cut (No reporter narration)
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Design duo Mark Badgley and James Mischka are taking their queues from old Hollywood for Fall 2017. "We are kind of feeling that we are caught between two wars right now, so we actually went back to between two wars. Between two World Wars for our inspiration, 1940's Europe and America, kind of channeled through the eyes if old Hollywood and Badgley Mischka," one half of the pair, James Mischka said. The couture collection had gowns in gold brocade, rich velvet and jewel crusted hemlines. One gown, completely covered in silver fringes, seem to flow down the runway. The collection used rich, regal colors such as gold, silver and dark navy and reds. The partners said they try not to mix politics with business when it comes to designing for their specific client. New York Fashion Week wraps up on Thursday (February 16).
