Officials say Cornell Beckley and Deondre Davis face murder charges for the shooting at Cincinnati's Cameo Nightlife Club which left one dead and 16 others injured last weekend. Jillian Kitchener reports.
Cornell Beckley was issued a $1.7 million bond, Friday... $100,000 for each of the Ohio nightclub shooting victims. Officials say the 27-year-old had previously served time for aggravated assault. Now he, along with Deondre Davis, age 29, are facing murder charges in the shooting that left one man dead and 16 others injured last Sunday. Police say Davis, himself, was shot at the Cameo Nightlife Club. (SOUNDBITE) CINCINNATI POLICE CHIEF ELIOT ISAAC, SAYING: "Mr. Davis is currently being treated for gunshot wounds and listed in critical condition." Beckley's lawyer says his client's arrest is the product of three things: (SOUNDBITE) ATTORNEY, CLYDE BENNETT, SAYING: "Public outcry, social appeasement, and politics." Police say a fight spun out of control inside the club last weekend, leading to a shootout. They say, they expect more arrests. Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley called the incident the worst mass shooting in the city's history and hailed the arrests.
