Pro-European campaigner Gina Miller launches the 'Best for Britain' campaign to get people to vote tactically in the June 8 election. Rough cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Gina Miller, the London investment manager and prominent pro-European Union campaigner, on Wednesday (April 26) officially launched a campaign to encourage Britons to vote tactically in the June 8 election with a view to stopping a so-called "hard Brexit". The 'Best for Britain' campaign will use 300,000 pounds raised by Miller's crowdfunding web page. The money will be used to back candidates for parliament who promised to hold a meaningful vote on the government's final deal with the EU, set to be agreed after two years of divorce talks. "Only tactical voting in this election can ensure that parliament plays its full role in the future of our country," said Miller, who successfully used the Supreme Court to force Prime Minister Theresa May's government to get parliamentary approval before triggering Article 50.
