Oxfam campaigners staged a stunt in Sicily during the G7 Summit urging the seven leaders to stand strong in reaffirming support of the Paris Agreement. Rough cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Oxfam, a global humanitarian relief organisation, urged G7 leaders meeting in Taormina, Sicily, on Friday (May 26) to press U.S. President Donald Trump against backing out of a key agreement on climate. Packaged as a "stunt" a few kilometres away from the fenced-off conference, the act targets Trump's electoral campaign promise to pull the U.S. out of the 2016 agreement which aims to reduce the danger of industry-driven global warming. In the act, mock G7 leaders are loitering at a signpost showing the way to the Paris agreement. The leaders are trying to persuade a seated, reluctant Trump to follow the path to the accord.
