NO REPORTER NARRATION European Council President Donald Tusk on Friday (July 7) welcomed the support Donald Trump has offered to Transatlantic ties but voiced caution on whether they reflected a change in policy by the U.S. president. In Poland on Thursday (July 6) ahead of the G20 summit in Germany, Trump said he stood firmly behind the mutual defence commitments of the NATO alliance and criticised Russia. Also speaking at the news conference, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said the EU would respond if the United States imposes punitive tariffs on steel.
