Two former U.S. presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton speak in front of the 2017 Class of the Presidential Leadership Scholars. No reporter narration.
(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION) President George W. Bush and President Bill Clinton sat down for a conversation Thursday (July 13) evening during what was definitely a special moment for the 2017 Class of the Presidential Leadership Scholars. Moderated by financier and philanthropist David Rubenstein, the conversation touched on important topics including immigration, what's wrong with America today, and arrogant politicians, but there were plenty of compliments, jokes, and laughs along the way. President Clinton complimented President Bush on how humble he was when he defeated Democratic Governor Ann Richards. Going on to say that a politician should not brag about how many people they beat. President Bill Clinton also recounted a time he told President Bush that he hopes Bush is not the last Republican president who's not afraid of immigrants.
