A Florida man took police on a 10-mile chase on Tuesday, while making bizarre appeals during a 911 call, possibly as a result of ingesting pot. Nathan Frandino reports.
"I need your help, please. I'm begging you." "Ok, there is a police officer that is a legit police officer behind you, trying to pull you over." Aric Leon Frydberg sounded desperate as he led police on a car chase early Tuesday morning. It began after police found 33-year-old Frydberg and a quantity of pot in his car in Ochopee, Florida. They say Frydberg's reaction was to stuff the pot in his mouth and take off, dialing 911 on the way. "You need to do what they exactly tell you to do. Ok?" During the 911 call, Frydberg begged for help as he took officers on a 10-mile chase through Collier County. "Call my mom. Please call my mom." And police say the call only got stranger. "I want to speak to President Trump. I want to speak to the President of the United States of America. Donald Trump is a close friend of mine." Once police were able to stop Frydberg's car, they arrested him.. "Right now, you're the one that's breaking the law." "How?" "Ok, you're committing a felony right... by running from the police." Frydberg now faces several felony charges, including fleeing and eluding an officer, aggravated assault on an officer and drug possession.
