Parents Judy and Dennis Shepard remember their son, Matthew, who was interred at the Washington National Cathedral on Friday, two decades after his violent death turned him into an inspirational symbol for the fight against violence targeting gay people. Shepard was a gay student at the University of Wyoming, who died after being tied to a fence, pistol-whipped, and left in the cold in October 1998. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
